Olympia Wellington Luxury Pool Builder

Recently we completed an amazing pool and spa project in Olympia HOA in Wellington Fl.

The homeowner was looking to create a functional space with room between the house and the pool for a seating area for dining, however the challenge was the setbacks despite the actual size of the backyard.

With the given setbacks, the pool needed to be somewhat close to the house.

Our solution was to skew the spa on the corner to create a space for hanging out with the family in the dining area. This gave us the idea to fully tile the spa for some bling. The close proximity of the spa gives the ability to use the cabana bath easily as well as go inside if it’s cold without running.

The massive sunshelf with LED bubblers was designed for entertaining guests and giving plenty of places to lounge and conversate. The two firepit areas complimented this entertainment idea.

The pool is a sport pool so it goes from 4’2” to 4’11” to 4’8” to give multiple depths and an element of play. Water base Volleyball nets can be brought out at the next family event and being able to jump in from virtually anywhere is a playful function.

We wanted to give a resort vibe with the grand entry steps. We made the entry steps of the pool oversized at 18” each.

The pool finish is actually really cool. It was a big expense but makes sense in the long run. The pebble finish by Wet Edge was a custom made color selected in a meeting at the clients house. The company offers a lifetime warranty on the material so there’s actually savings on future pool refinishing in addition to the beautiful gems adorning the pool.

For the patio hardscaping we used large format 16”x24” marble. We noticed some settling in the driveway upon first site meeting so we installed a road rock base to try and mitigate any settling. The surface are of the large pieces will help with the settling and we installed a perimeter deco drain by stegmeyer to prevent pooling.

All in all we had some challenges along the way but really enjoyed this project. The clients in this neighborhood seem to value their investments into their homes and yards and chose to upgrade some higher end items and features. On this project we installed full automation and even 9 therapy jets in the spa.
